Red Shells Never Forget - Lance Icarus

That red shell just won't leave Chip alone! That shell's been following Chip for a while now.

I did get a chance to play the Conduit and I have some first impressions. The single player game is...lackluster. It might be something good to someone who doesn't play any first person shooters, but someone like me who's been gaming most of his life just can't shake the flashbacks. Invading aliens and secret government coverups? Been there, done that. I feel like I'm playing Perfect Dark all over again, and not in a good way.

The multiplayer also reminds me of Perfect Dark, but in the best way possible. The online play is smooth and just has that fun factor that dragged us all into games like Goldeneye. The lack of splitscreen, however, is a big oversight. It could have been the return of the weekend deathmatches, but unfortunately I've got to settle for some guys in an online lobby. The multiplayer is definitely a standout on the Wii console.

If you've been watching your friends play Modern Warfare and though to yourself "Why not Wii?", then The Conduit is for you. If you're just playing it for the single player experience, just go get the Metroid Prime Trilogy when it comes out. I'll see you next week for another +1 Comic!
